About Us

The C-Card scheme is a service commissioned by the local authority for young people aged between 13 – 24 in Nottingham City to provide free condoms, lube and dams, sexual health information, help and advice.

If you’re thinking about having sex, have already started or are just concerned about the risk of pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections then a C-Card is for you.  It doesn’t matter if you’re lesbian, gay, straight, bisexual, trans or unsure of your gender or sexuality, a C-Card is still for you.

To get a C-Card we just need some basic information from you which is confidential and used for monitoring. Then we’ll have a chat with you about sex, relationships and to check you’re happy with the decisions you’re making.

Don’t worry about any of this as all our staff are trained to listen and be sensitive to your situation, even if you’ve never spoken to anyone about this stuff before.

You can register for a C-Card here and once you’re registered and have been given a card you can pick up free condoms from here too, as long as you have a postcode that starts with NG….

Allow yourself about half an hour when you first go to register and if you feel more comfortable bringing a friend along with you then that’s fine.

CONFIDENTIALITY

We won’t tell anyone about your visit so everything you tell the person you see is confidential. We’re not allowed to tell your parents, your school, your doctor or anyone else what you’ve said, unless we feel you are in any danger and then we would always discuss our concerns with you first.

If you are under 16 we will need to ask a few extra questions from you just to make sure you’re not being asked to do something against your will.
